In a study on himself, Tran concentrates on drawing to illustrate the process of self-reflection.

Khanhthuan Tran was born in Vietnam. He and his family immigrated to Halifax, Nova Scoti,a in the early ’80s. In 1999 he received a BFA from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. In 2005, he received the local emerging artist award at Reel Asian.
