“Please save us, President…leader of the Arab Nation!” jokingly begs nine Asian hostages being held at gunpoint by terrorists. Nine screens simultaneously display nine nearly offensive re-enactments of real hostage situations found online. Project Big Bang ironically discusses how intense international political situations and violent images such as these have become mass media images sold as entertainment and spectacle.

Project Big Bang is a collaborative group that includes Bo Zheng, Amy Cheung, Erkka Nissinen, Joseph Chan, Kwan Ng, and Mark Fell.
